What is a BNC?
- A Bouncer. It will keep you online 24/7, and possibly support you with a Virtual Host, and keep your privacy safe.
How do i get a BNC?
- #theBNC, and this site, offers BNCs, so it is best to request one, or ask in our channel for one.
Can I get a custom vhost?
- Unfortunately, we cannot give everyone their desired vhosts, apart from our huge list, and because of the price of domains, we cannot afford to give everyone one, unless they are good donaters, or have purchased one, etc.
Does theBNC use sBNC, or PsyBNC?
- We currently use both, depending on which server you use. ( shroudBNC/PsyBNC)
Is it required that I donate?
- The term "donate" is not meaning, a purchase, etc, so No. it is not required, but we urge all users to donate, whether paypal, credit, debit, etc, or other acceptable payments. Donaters will: Recieve top priority, and have access to all theBNC's benefits, and more.
Can BNCs be used to keep bots/scripts online 24/7?
- Depending on which scripting language you use, bot may/not be
Are BNCs compatible with mIRC scripts?
- No. BNCs (PsyBNC/sBNC) will not host scripts based on the scripting language of "mIRC".
Can mIRC be used to access a BNC account?
- Yes. mIRC, and other chat clients are primarily used to access, or login to your BNC account.
Can i use SwiftSwitch, or EliteSwitch to get on my BNC?
- No. BNCs currently cannot be accessed by SwiftSwitch, or EliteSwitch.
What scripting languages are available for BNCs/Shells?
- Currently, Eggdrop, and TCl, there may be more, but these are the ones we suggest you use if you are interested in hosting a 24/7 bot.
Do you need a shell to have a BNC server?
- No, if you have a PC, you can find a windows (win32) version of a BNC program, and use that. Shells, VPS, or Dedicated Servers are suggested if you wish to keep your server 24/7, without your computer on 24/7.
